When Lindsey asked me if I wanted to do a mini shoot to raise money for the Cheyenne Heard Memorial Fund, I said yes of course! I wanted to help. I took a look at the Facebook page to see what exactly happened, and I realized this girl was dearly missed in her community. Amber Cloy did an awesome job setting this entire fundraiser up for months leading up to it and the day of. The organization was some of the best I’ve ever seen. The amount of volunteers, and vendors that donated their time and product…y’all, it left me speechless. I was able to meet and photograph 16 families and within a short amount of time I learned so much about Cheyenne. This young lady made such an impression on these people. One mom couldn’t hold back the tears at the site of Cheyenne’s gorgeous picture. Another mom told me Cheyenne used to babysit her daughters. I can’t count the amount of times a family would ask if I knew Cheyenne. I would say no, but wanted to say I feel like I do now. The impact Cheyenne had on her community at such a young age is simply amazing. I am so grateful to be a part of this fundraiser. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of this gorgeous day of laughter, tears, and memories.
