Fall at the beach! { Family Photography, Acworth GA }

As many of you know, before co-founding Coco Alley Photography I’d spent the last decade as a makeup artist specializing in bridal makeup (gosh that makes me sound so old). Over the years I’ve met so many fantastic women who’ve let me be part of one of the biggest days of their lives. As you can imagine, it was a huge honor! Luckily I’ve been able to keep in touch with many of these lovely ladies thanks to social media! When Meghan contacted me for fall photos I was touched and ecstatic about getting to see her again! We had so much fun at both her makeup trial and again on her wedding day so I knew our session would be no different. Aside from our shared love of makeup, we are both Long Island girls, got married a month apart, and had our daughters just a year apart! Our girls also both happen to share the name Gabriella! I was so excited to finally get a chance to meet her little firecracker in person after seeing her pictures on Facebook for so long! I can tell you, she did not disappoint! What a sweetie pie and she is every bit as beautiful as her momma! Check out a few images from our time together!

NEW LOCATION ALERT!!!! Did you know there was a BEACH in GA??? I didn’t but I do now! This session was shot at Cauble Park home of Acworth Beach and it … is … amazing!!! I can’t wait to go back! It is perfect for so many of the photography sessions we offer! LOVE!

We are Family! {Canton, GA Photographer}

This extended family shoot was so much fun! I just loved capturing their closeness! The boys kept me on my toes, what little sweethearts! I feel like we were able to document this family’s personality and love on a beautiful fall day in North Georgia! And that is why I love what I do!

October 29th, 2015 a little hero was born…

I’m so excited to announce the arrival of my newest niece!!! I had hoped the mystery Frankel baby would be a girl! With a large family comprised of intense Jet, Mets and super hero fanatics, knowing there will be a few more years of dress up clothes and Disney princesses in our life is a huge relief! Like her brother Calen who is named after Superman’s real name Kal-El, Cara Ann’s name is after Supergirl’s! It was only fitting for our traditional family hospital t-shirts to carry a personalized Frankel super hero insignia! Welcome to the world Cara!! We love you so much already! Below are a few images from her Fresh 48 session!

ONE. {Stephanie’s Sneak}

When Lindsey asked me if I wanted to do a mini shoot to raise money for the Cheyenne Heard Memorial Fund, I said yes of course! I wanted to help. I took a look at the Facebook page to see what exactly happened, and I realized this girl was dearly missed in her community. Amber Cloy did an awesome job setting this entire fundraiser up for months leading up to it and the day of. The organization was some of the best I’ve ever seen. The amount of volunteers, and vendors that donated their time and product…y’all, it left me speechless. I was able to meet and photograph 16 families and within a short amount of time I learned so much about Cheyenne. This young lady made such an impression on these people. One mom couldn’t hold back the tears at the site of Cheyenne’s gorgeous picture. Another mom told me Cheyenne used to babysit her daughters. I can’t count the amount of times a family would ask if I knew Cheyenne. I would say no, but wanted to say I feel like I do now. The impact Cheyenne had on her community at such a young age is simply amazing. I am so grateful to be a part of this fundraiser. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of this gorgeous day of laughter, tears, and memories.

ONE

On Saturday, October 25th Stephanie and I had the pleasure of donating our time and talent to the annual Cheyenne Heard Memorial Fund Photo Shoot. Please take a moment when you can and visit the Facebook page for this cause and read about this remarkable young lady. We didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Cheyenne but after spending time with her friends & family and listening to them share their memories of her we now feel as if we did. The impact she made on her community and all those close to her both in life as well as after she was called home, is a testament to the wonderful, courageous and caring life she lead and positive example she set for so many around her. I have personally loved reading the stories of people “paying it forward” in her honor. I’m so grateful that I had the chance to do the same and met so many amazing families in the process! Below is a collection of just a few of the images I was able to capture at the event. There are so so many! It was next to impossible to choose so I just did so at random!   Stay tuned for a sneak from Stephanie and the families she got to spend time with Saturday!

Ryan Turns Two!

One of my favorite things about my job is getting to watch little people grow up! I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan and his amazing parents for fall family photos and to mark his 1st birthday last year. I was so excited to get to do the same for his 2nd birthday! I absolutely almost fell over when I saw how much he had changed! He may look more like a little boy vs a 1 yr. old infant but his spunk remains the same! Such a cutie pie! Here are a few of the images from this adorable family’s session! Could they be any sweeter?

Check back soon for a big fall double mini-shoot announcement! Don’t forget to subscribe the blog/newsletter to hear about them first!

Patel Gender Reveal

Hey ya’ll, Stephanie here! This past weekend my little family and I loaded up the car and made the 5.5 6.5 (thank you Atlanta traffic!) hour drive to Gainesville, Florida for a fun family weekend. The trip was planned so we could be part of my cousin’s baby gender reveal! I absolutely love gender reveals! The suspense absolutely kills me, but the excitement just makes it so much fun! Would baby Patel be a boy or girl? Would I pass down my pink or blue clothes? Alright guys, time to find out! Scroll down and see!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to our blog and very first post! We are thrilled to have officially announced the launch of Coco Alley Photography!! EEK!! So exciting! The response we have had thus far has been overwhelming and incredibly supportive for which we are extremely grateful!

Many of our blog updates will be filled with pictures from featured sessions with our awesome clients but it is also important to us that we use this as a forum to let our readers get to know us and vice versa. So we will also be talking about other fun and informative stuff! First though, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank two wonderful ladies that were instrumental in helping us get our business organized, branded and website underway! Kristy Dickerson and Jenny Grumbling created this amazing business/home daily planner that I was lucky enough to stumble upon one night on Facebook! Don’t you just love social media! Now let me just say that this is no ordinary planner! Besides the fact that the design is GORGEOUS, (It comes in a linen bag people….just like a Louie or a Gucci! Need I say more?!) but it was created with entrepreneurs in mind to aid in organizing home tasks, goals and work life to help achieve and maintain balance! Um yes please!!! I placed my pre-order on the spot! Recognizing Kristy’s name I hopped on over to her photography website. From there I may or may not have stalked her blog a little bit (ok fine a lot). In my “research” I discovered these two also offered a business intensive workshop called Start Kickin’ Booty! Mouth open and wishing it was something within Coco Alley’s start up budget, I suddenly see a blurb about a scholarship being offered for the upcoming class! I figured it was a long shot given the insane number of followers involved but I figured what the hell a girl can dream so I hit the send button! Well guess who won baby… this girl that’s who! Everything from headshots, efficiency tip, marketing education, and lastly branding (isn’t our logo amazeballs). The workshop was an absolute blast, extremely informative and I met a group of fabulous women with amazing talent & businesses! Check out Kristy and Jenny’s sites to learn more about them, Start Kickin’ Booty or to pick up that fabulous planner!

Check back soon for the story of how we came up with our the name Coco Alley as well as a special session post you won’t want to miss!! In the meantime, check out some of the pictures from the workshop courtesy of Kristy Dickerson.- Lindsey
