Come Fly With Me… {Woodstock, GA Photography}

You know that old saying ” It never hurts to ask” ? Well once again it has been proven true! If you are lucky, like me, you have a friend that seems to know everyone! You know… the person who always “has a guy” or a knows a “friend of a friend” for whatever it is you may need. Well, in my quest to find an airplane for clients wanting to do an aviator themed maternity session to match their baby’s nursery, I was hitting a lot of dead ends searching on my own. Cue friend and fellow photographer, Amber Cloy! In less than 24 hours she had talked to her friend who talked to their friend who not only had a plane, but owns an awesome vintage WWII plane! Enter my new friend Tom who was kind enough to allow us to shoot this amazing session with his beautiful aircraft! I can not thank everyone involved in making this shoot happen enough!

J + L + M

Right smack in the middle of our busiest time of the year (which we LOVE!), I go and break my baby toe! In two spots! Who does that?? After a trip to the doctor, some x-rays and a really fancy boot to help me wobble around, I was able to reschedule and meet up with the Hohmann’s. The light was simply amazing and Maggie, their adorable lab was the best little model! Check out this couple’s sweet session!

Waiting for Clare…

I love catching up with former brides of mine from Bella B and had an absolute blast capturing this new phase in the Logan family’s life! I remember Katie being so laid back and fun to be around on her big day. She hasn’t changed one bit! Wesley is going to be an amazing big brother to sweet little Clare! I won’t keep you long, take a look for yourself at this gorgeous family! OH! One more thing…this is the awesome location we have been telling you about for our upcoming mini session this weekend!! Flirty Thirty { Atlanta Photographer}

Stephanie is officially 30!!! Woot! Woot! I had the hardest time thinking up gift ideas and a way to celebrate the big 3-0 with her! I think part of the problem was the fact that Stephanie is a great gift giver and party planner in her own right. Seriously, you should see this girl in action. Baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties! You name it… and these events are Pinterest worthy people! Not to mention they are flawlessly executed and no doubt leave the guest of honor feeling overwhelmingly loved! More than that though, she is just an incredibly thoughtful and caring person. She is very involved in her family and friends lives. When she isn’t jumping in to help or offer support when needed, she is rsvp’g to help celebrate whatever important event pops up in the world of those close to her. Did I mention how many friends she has??? I honestly don’t know how she does it! She is a machine! See the problem lol?

So, since there was no sense in competing with the master, I figured I would play to her love of photography! As I was thinking about potentially surprising her with one of those silly and creative 30th cake smash sessions, the perfect idea finally came to me! While trying to figure out what type of outfit I should get for her to wear, it dawned on me that this would be the first time Stephanie wouldn’t have to worry about a single thing for her personal photos! No outfits to pick out for her and her family. No one else to get ready after getting herself ready and rushing out the door!! At that moment I decided there would be no dirty thirty and certainly no cake smashed in her pretty face! Oh no, no, no! Now I was thinking more along the lines of something more luxurious and glamorous! With hair and makeup appointments set along the way and her favorite dress ready to roll, off to the magnificent Georgian Terrace we went! We had such an amazing girls day that ended with her sweet hubby stealing her away with surprise dinner reservations. He knew better than to leave a girl all dressed up with no place to go! Needless to say she was surprised! Steph crushed the shoot and her Flirty Thirty session is now in the memory books!

Piedmont Park Minis

We are gearing up for our next set of minis this weekend and we wanted to share a quick peek at just a few of the sessions we had at our mini session a couple of weeks ago in the beautiful Piedmont Park! The weather was gorgeous and everyone brought their A-game!!

Peace, Love & Sunflowers…

Fall is off and running! I can not believe it is already October 18th! Stephanie and I have been shooting our little hearts out! When things settle down (they have to at some point right?), I hope to share images from some of the amazing sessions I’ve had the privilege of shootings since mid September but haven’t had the chance to blog! Fabulous mini sessions, multi generation family sessions, adorable cuddly newborns as well as some kick butt family fall sessions!

Ever since I delivered the sneak peek for this special little lady’s shoot last week, I have been dying to share some of her images! Addison is not only GORGEOUS inside and out( a true mini me to her mommy), but she is absolutely hysterical and wise beyond her years! We had so much fun playing in the sunflowers and chasing the sunset! I just love everything about this collection of images!

Welcome Charlotte Mary!

The moment I got to the Handza house I was greeted by Charlotte’s furry siblings Tank and Clayton. They were my MVPs of the day, you’ll see! But everything about this session was perfection! Charlotte’s room is simply gorgeous!! I could tell just how over the moon Mommy and Daddy are with their beautiful little girl! I won’t keep you long with my rambling…just take a look for yourselves!! 🙂

Arbor Cove

Katie contacted us requesting headshots and I was really excited for the session after learning what she did for a living. Katie is a social worker at Arbor Cove Therapy, in downtown Roswell, who focuses on all ages but what really struck me is her young clients. These are children battling PTSD, anxiety, those who have experienced loss and many other challenges that her clients have experienced or are currently going through. Growing up my mom was a social worker. She too worked with people of all ages who had gone through many different tragic events, but I remember when she specifically focused on children dealing with trauma. The stories tugged at my heart. I think it takes a special person to create a safe environment where these children can open up and share their stories and learn coping skills so they can heal, grow up to be confident, and continue their life journey in a positive light. So….to me these aren’t just headshots. To me, these will help Katie link up with children who need her and here is her website to help make this happen.

Welcome Baby Jackson {Cumming, GA Photographer}

Friends having a baby is exciting as it is, but the day they ask you to take their baby’s pictures once he is born?! I was over the moon excited when our friends Daehn and Katie asked me to take their sweet baby boy’s newborn session! I, of course, got my other half (my photography other half haha!) on board and we waited and we waited….and we waited some more! Poor Katie was a trooper! Little Jackson made his entrance into this world and the fun began! I really did have a lot of fun planning this session for them. Daehn and my husband John were in the Marines together, so I sent the new Daddy to find his (now retired) uniforms. Daehn definitely delivered! By delivered I mean tossing bags of awesomeness and old memories down from the attic! Oh and Bentley (Jackson’s soon to be BFF) brought his A game! I won’t keep you any longer…just take a look at this little man who is absolutely perfection!

I absolutely adore shooting new parents! I remember patiently awaiting the arrival of both my son and daughter like it was yesterday! Hours upon hours of wondering who they will look like and what their little personalities will be. Although the special feeling of being kicked in the belly and nursery planning aren’t long forgotten, capturing this sweet couple below had all of my memories flooding back to me! Nothing but love, excitement and anticipation….

Baby Rhett is already so loved! I can’t wait to meet the little guy!
