Let’s take it back 16 years…to the halls and classrooms of (the old) Milton High School. Becca and I met and became fast friends. We cheered together, went through boy troubles together, and grew together. College took us in completely separate directions, but we kept in touch. We would see each other whenever we were both home from school and Becca even made a special trip to see me at Valdosta! Although the stories we have and memories we’ve made over the years are pretty darn good ones, nothing is better than this amazing chance we now have to go through motherhood together! Both Matt and Becca have watched my babies grow since the day they were born and I’m thrilled to have the chance to be part of Miss Keaton’s life!!

A few years back, I introduced Becca and Lindsey and they’ve developed their own friendship which is awesome to see! It’s been so nice that two of my closest friends are not only my biggest cheerleaders but support each other too! Lindsey, of course, wanted to celebrate Keaton’s birth just as much as I did. I’m not going to lie, there easily could have been an arm wrestling competition over who would shoot this beautiful baby girl upon her arrival! Since Lindsey and I love shooting together and calibrating on concepts, that is exactly what we did here and it was extremely special for us to have the oppurtunity to do this for the Lipp fam!

Congratulations once again Matt and Becca! Keaton Marie is beautiful and you two have already become amazing parents! The pictures below are just a few for a little sneak peek into this breathtaking session, but we couldn’t wait any longer to introduce this sweet girl to the Coco Alley fans!

ONE Girl {Ball Ground, GA family portraits}

I was so honored to have the opportunity to participate in the Cheyenne Heard 2016 Memorial Fund Photo Shoot and given the chance to honor the memory of a very special and exceptional young lady who was called home way too soon. Though I didn’t know Cheyenne, I have learned so much about her fun loving, kind and giving spirit from so many of her loved ones. Donating my time and talent to photograph so many caring families that unite once a year to raise money and pay tribute to Cheyenne was just as humbling this year as it was last year. I not only met wonderful new families and got to shoot some familiar faces but it was also an amazing reminder of what a terrific community I live in! I wish that I could post more of the images I shot but here are a few to give you an idea of how much fun we all had celebrating the life and legacy of Miss Cheyenne!

Where do I even start? I’m going to go with a congratulations and a BIG thank you to Sam & Niraj! I am so honored that they trusted me to capture their unfiltered reactions and play a small role in this memory by documenting one of the many exciting moments of pregnancy! In this case it was finding out their baby’s gender! YAY!!! For everyone that follows this blog or knows me personally, you know I tend to be a little long winded but these photos tell the story better than any words I could choose to describe this session! I mean the excitement and anticipation was overwhelming and I think you will find that everyone involved was overcome with joy! Kennesaw Bound… {Cumming, GA Photographer}

I was so excited when Lisa purchased one of our Black Friday gift certificates back in November for her son’s senior photos! As a happy bonus, it turns out, Lisa and her family live in my neighborhood! Senior shoots are one of my favorites, knowing they have so much going for them as they are finishing up one of the best years of their life and entering a new chapter…COLLEGE!!! Max grew up in Cumming, so I thought we would start the shoot in the downtown area. He ROCKED it! Then we headed to Max’s home away from home, the track at Forsyth Central High School. Max is a track STAR! So much so, he is heading to Kennesaw State University on a scholarship!! This was probably my favorite part of the shoot. I was thrilled to capture Max in his element. He is already a easy going young man, but he made my job so easy the moment we hit that pavement. Just look for yourself! His passion for the sport really shows. Congratulations Max on not only getting accepted to Kennesaw, but earning a scholarship! I wish you all the best in what life has in store for you. Hang in there Mom and Dad, as your baby leaves the nest!

Coco Currado Littles

Everyone warns you how fast your kids grow up but as I sit here and watch my little guy chase one of our dogs around the playroom, I can’t help but wonder how in the world is he is already TWO?!! Both Grayson and Gabriella have old sweet souls with a dash of silly. Throw in a developing wild streak for the boy and life is never boring! I certainly don’t want to forget a minute so even if it’s a snap here and there with hair sticking all over the place, I try to capture their everyday lives to hold onto these sacred moments of their childhood. You know the photographs … the ones that feel like a hug and bring you right back to that day! Ahhhh….

Annually (sometimes semi-annually) I do like to do an “official” birthday portrait session to mark their age and have to share friends and family. This year I decided to do Gabby’s 6yr and Gray’s 2yr old photos at the same time at a cool old train museum a great friend told me about. Holy cow!!!! Between the gorgeous available light pouring through the trains and these two beautiful faces, the pictures couldn’t make me any happier! Keeping it real !

Of course I blogged my favs but don’t let them fool you! I do not have perfect robot children who know what to do and willing wanted to have their photos taken rather than play and explore old trains lol! Below are some of the raw doggy, real deal in between shots that give an inside view to how most of the session actually went lol ! Oy vey! Mommy needed an extra large cocktail when we got home! Shout out to my friend Christine who helped distract, entertain and kept everyone safe while I chased them around! Baby Jag

I’m so excited to share these images from a very special lifestyle newborn session that I recently had the honor to shoot! Anyone remember the adorable gender reveal party I documented for my cousin Christina and her husband Neil back in September? Well SURPRISE!!! They just had their baby boy, Jagan Neil Patel, on February 26! I’m so overjoyed that my cousin gets to experience the amazing journey that motherhood brings and better yet, that we get to do it together! Well 6 hours apart, but that’s ok! Ideally, I would have loved to have done a Fresh 48 as well as a newborn session of little Jag but schedules and distance just wouldn’t permit. Luckily I was able to go visit just 3 short weeks after he was born! Hubby held down the fort and I took off solo mission style for the weekend to meet my newest family member! I, of course, brought my camera so I could snap some special memories of these 3…I mean 4. Albert, their furbaby, was a great sport but he was definitely confused and so over me by the end. I had to keep tricking him in order to perk up but hey I got shots with him looking at my camera! Bam! I win!

I was so happy to have the opportunity to capture these sweet moments for my family. It really meant so much to me and I hope you enjoy them!

The Adventures of Logan! {Family Photography, Norcross }

Oh how I love these images let me count the ways…

Little Logan appeared on the blog when we featured his 4 month, in home lifestyle session back in November. Documenting a baby’s first year is so exciting for me. I love continuing the theme of shooting in their natural environment to show their growth and to mark new milestones while still mixing in a new location to keep everything fresh. We were able to accomplish both this past weekend and I’m just obsessed with the results! I want to give a big shout out to momma and poppa bear who were not above running, jumping, and being as silly as needed to keep their little guy entertained and full of those heart melting smiles!

Little Jackson {Alpharetta Family Photographer}

You may remember little Jackson’s sweet face and his adorable parents from a Facebook post just 6 months or so ago! I love that I’m getting to watch this little nugget grow and change during his first year of life! He is as smiley as ever, still enjoys hearing his own voice and now he does the cutest army crawl and is super determined to stand up!

Sweet baby Camden {Cumming Photography}

I had such an amazing time photographing this gorgeous family! Mary Catherine and Danny’s joy and excitement over the birth of baby Camden was infectious and it was just an all around great session! But I’m not surprised being I’ve shot Camden’s cousin Maddox and his sweet parents several times and we always have a blast!

Typically we always suggest scheduling your newborn portrait sessions before your little bundle is 10 days old if possible. That said, the beauty of a lifestyle newborn session is we can stretch that time frame out since the amount of sleeping posed photos is limited. At 7 weeks strong, Camden rocked his shoot and even let us nestle him in a basket for a special portrait that I know mommy and daddy will treasure!

I met Laura Clemons, the owner/Doctor of Physical Therapy, of Poise Therapy after she purchased one of our Black Friday gift certificates which they later used for family portraits. I was so excited to learn during her session that she too was a small business owner! A few weeks later we discussed her need for updated headshots as well as promotional photos for her website/marketing pieces and the date was set! We were able to get these awesome shots of this healing boss lady in action! Be sure to check her out on Facebook and online for more detailed information!
